Welcome to our very first #HerbalCareThursday!

If you’ve been following our journey on Facebook or stopping by to visit us at our local markets, you know how much love goes into growing our plants. My goal is to always bring you helpful ideas to support your goals, and in this weekly series, I want to bring you along for my experiments with my herb-centered personal care routine.

I haven't used a bottle of commercial shampoo in over ten years. My routine has been natural for over a decade, and completely herb-centered for the past five years!

When I first ditched store-bought shampoo ten years ago, I tried a few different natural washing methods. But five years ago, everything came together when I figured out the formula for my herbal cleansing powder. Everything else became easier, and I’ve been building my herbal toolkit ever since!

Focusing on plants helps support and maintain the natural, healthy balance of the scalp and hair instead of stripping it away with harsh detergents.

What is #HerbalCareThursday All About?

This weekly series is my space to bring you behind the scenes into my workshop. We’ll be looking at my main tried-and-true herbal cleansing powder (which I'll be sharing soon!), but mostly we'll be diving into real-time experiments.

We'll be testing brand-new body washes, soaps, face mists, and hair formulations, sharing the major wins right alongside the hilarious flops!

Herbal living isn't about perfection or having every answer figured out in advance; it’s an ongoing journey of learning, testing, and getting your hands a little messy. I want to bring you right along for the ride so you can see what works, what doesn't, and how accessible plant-based care can be.

Always perform a small patch test before trying new botanicals on your skin!

I’d love to hear from you: If you could replace one commercial item in your shower or bathroom today with a simple plant-based alternative, what would it be?
